“I got a fan letter from a young lady. It was a suicide note.

So I called her, and I said, “Hey, this is Jimmy Doohan. Scotty, from Star Trek.” I said, “I’m doing a convention in Indianapolis. I wanna see you there.”

I saw her — boy, I’m telling you, I couldn’t believe what I saw. It was definitely suicide. Somebody had to help her, somehow. And obviously she wasn’t going to the right people.

I said to her, “I’m doing a convention two weeks from now in St. Louis.” And two weeks from then, in somewhere else, you know? She also came to New York - she was able to afford to got to these places. That went on for two or three years, maybe eighteen times. And all I did was talk positive things to her.

And then all of the sudden — nothing. I didn’t hear anything. I had no idea what had happened to her because I never really saved her address.

Eight years later, I get a letter saying, “I do want to thank you so much for what you did for me, because I just got my Master’s degree in electronic engineering.”

That’s…to me, the best thing I’ve ever done in my life.”

Been over 2 months since my ex last spoke to me, how pathetic does it make me for just wishing I could get a simple text even if it just said something as simple as hi. I know I ruined and lost my relationship with her but I hate not remaining friends, we may not be in love with each other anymore but I was and that care for her still caries on. I may not be the right man for her but I still care that she’s okay and that everything’s okay in her life and the fact she won’t talk to me and I can’t hear that from her myself just sucks. So many times I just wanted to send a text or ring her myself but decided against at and left her be as that’s what she wanted it but still check my phone hoping to hear from her. Meh bit of a rant as I felt down, see pathetic as I said. If anyone has read all this sorry it wasn’t a read more post, on my phone and couldn’t think how to do it on my phone so yeah sorry :)

getting an email saying you’ve received a submit on tuesday and getting all excited to see what it is, just to find out some anon’s submitted a video by email of that mandempig youtuber -.- ugh.
